Radhika Das Releases ‘Lightfall’ EP Blending Mantras with Modern Sound

April 17: Globally renowned artist Radhika Das has released a brand new EP titled Lightfall. It serves as the perfect amalgamation of the ancient musical traditions of mantras with modern sound. This five-track EP is a novel attempt at bringing the sacred kirtans and mantras into the daily lives of people.

Radhika Das releases new EP Lightfall

Produced by Seattle-based, Grammy-nominated producer Ryan Hadlock, Lightfall is Radhika Das’ ode to the age-old mantra traditions. There was always a long-standing belief that mantra music is limited to sacred temples. But he is defying this belief by bringing it to a layman, taking listeners back to spiritual roots without being in a meditative state. The new EP seamlessly moves between energetic sounds and quiet meditative chants, perfectly capturing the textures of India’s diverse sonic identities.

Lightfall EP arrives after the artist released two singles – ‘Sita Rama Jaya’ and ‘Hara Mahadeva’ that perfectly amalgamated contemporary sounds with age-old musical traditions. The tracklist continues to take the audience on a spiritual and sonic odyssey with songs like ‘Radha Ramana Haribol’, ‘Bhajahu Re Mana’, and ‘Radhe Radhe’.

Talking about the Lightfall EPRadhika Das said,

“Lightfall is an offering. A way to carry timeless mantras into everyday moments, creating space for connection, reflection, and something deeper within”.

The intent behind producing the EP in a shorter format and recording it in the studio was to revive India’s spiritual heritage of kirtans and chants. It perfectly captures the multitude of spiritual depths, allowing everyone to access their true inner selves without immersing in a profound state of meditation.

Lightfall EP is now live on all major streaming platforms
