School of FutureTech Hosts Successful Intercollegiate Hackathon Summer Hacks 2026

Navi Mumbai, Apr 29: School of FutureTech, ITM Skills University successfully hosted Summer Hacks 2026, a 24-hour intercollegiate startup-focused hackathon. The event brought together aspiring innovators and budding engineers from across India, creating a vibrant platform dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.

The hackathon witnessed an impressive response, with 635 registrations from various colleges nationwide. Out of these, 439 participants formed 124 teams, reflecting strong inter-college participation and collaboration. B.Tech students with backgrounds in coding, development, and technology came together to apply their technical expertise and problem-solving skills to build impactful solutions.

Throughout the 24-hour challenge, participants worked on developing minimum viable products (MVPs) with a strong emphasis on innovation, scalability, and business viability. The event encouraged students to think like entrepreneurs, transforming ideas into functional prototypes while working under time constraints that simulated real startup environments.

The competition concluded with outstanding performances from several teams. Straw Hats from ITM School of FutureTech secured the first position with their exceptional solution and execution. The second position was awarded to Gen(AI)tech from D.Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi, while Code Paglus from ITM School of FutureTech secured the third position.

Summer Hacks 2026 successfully reinforced the importance of hands-on learning and industry-relevant skill development. The event not only provided students with exposure to startup culture but also strengthened ITM Skills University’s commitment to nurturing future-ready innovators and entrepreneurs.
