RIMOWA Launches “For a Lifetime of Lives” Campaign on Travel & Craft

India, May 27: RIMOWA has long championed creative endeavours, demonstrating its commitment through craftsmanship and engineering. Today, the German Maison is pleased to introduce “For a Lifetime of Lives,” a new campaign reflecting on the enduring relationship between movement, craft, and the trusted objects that accompany peoplethrough time.Conceived as a cinematic story unfolding across generations, the campaign follows a single RIMOWA caseas it moves through life’s different chapters.

Directed by the Argentinian filmmaking trio Pantera and featuring abespoke score by acclaimed American trumpeter, composer, producerTheo Croker, the campaign unfolds through a series of films centred around a trumpet and the RIMOWA aluminium case that protects it. The narrative traces a passage of time and legacy, following the instrument and its case as they move from father to son. Through shifting moments, spaces, and sounds, RIMOWA remains a durable companion across lives shaped by music, creativity, and reinvention.

The first episode, ‘Window Seat’, begins with a quiet gesture of legacy: a trumpeterfatherhands his cased instrument to his son as he prepares to leave home. The film interweaves fragments of the father’s past with the son’s first steps forward.In the second episode ‘Run it Back’, the life of the son – now himself a musician – unfolds between rehearsal rooms and the road as he works to find his voice. Moving between discipline and freedom, the episode captures the formative years of an artist’s journey, with the RIMOWA case accruing the dents and marks that come with each stage of life.

The final episode, ‘Another Take’, follows a day up to a performance. It captures the quiet hours before stepping on stage, fragments of music that shape a life devoted to sound, and the moments that follow once the performance ends.Together, the films explore a dual narrative intrinsic to every RIMOWA case for a legacy that carries forward: the functional excellence of engineering and durability, and the emotional journey it accompanies across a lifetime. Dents, stickers, and traces of travel become part of its character.

The campaign also includes still imagery, photographed by renowned artist Tyler Mitchell. Through scenes of travelling, the images introduce a wider cast of characters, each moment reflecting the quiet bond between a person and the trustedobjects that accompany them.At the centre of the campaign is the RIMOWA Classic Cabin Silver, whose signature grooved aluminium design has become emblematic of the German Maison’s testament to craftsmanship and longevity.Exclusively produced in RIMOWA’s historic Cologne factory, the broader Classic suitcase family appears throughout the campaign, reinforcing RIMOWA’s dedication to creating travel companions engineered to last a lifetime.
