Apr 06: Narayan Seva Sansthan, a leading non-profit dedicated to the treatment, rehabilitation, and empowerment of differently abled persons, has partnered with Hyderabad-based Yash Resources Recycling Limited under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Through this collaboration, 100 persons with disabilities have been empowered with advanced prosthetic limbs, enabling greater mobility and independence. As part of this structured intervention, beneficiaries, who had lost limbs due to road accidents, railway incidents, and electrical injuries were mobilized to the organization’s Hyderabad centre over the past two months. Each individual underwent a comprehensive clinical assessment, followed by precision-based prosthetic fitting and guided rehabilitation under the supervision of experienced specialists. The initiative has successfully restored mobility and accelerated the reintegration of beneficiaries into independent, productive lives.
Commenting on the initiative, Palak Agarwal, Director, Narayan Seva Sansthan, stated: “For over four decades, our focus has been on enabling persons with disabilities to lead independent and dignified lives. Strategic CSR collaborations such as this not only restore physical mobility but also unlock opportunities for long-term empowerment. We urge more corporate institutions to partner with us in scaling this impact across underserved communities nationwide.”
The programme’s human impact is reflected in the journeys of beneficiaries such as Tammili Parmesh from Hyderabad, who, after losing both legs, has regained the ability to walk. Similarly, Akash from Karimnagar and Timma Reddy from Hyderabad are steadily moving towards self-reliance following prosthetic support.
Together, these stories underscore the initiative’s transformative impact, fostering renewed confidence, restoring dignity, and enabling greater socio-economic participation among all 100 beneficiaries.
This collaboration underscores the critical role of corporate non- profit partnerships in delivering measurable social outcomes. By combining institutional expertise with responsible corporate support, the initiative sets a compelling benchmark for sustainable, high-impact CSR in the domain of disability rehabilitation.
