The company has deployed Sarawak’s first telecommunications smart pole in Siburan and its first built-to-suit (B2S) 5G site in Kampung Jepak, Bintulu. Both installations are designed to enhance high-speed connectivity, support future-ready 5G networks, and improve coverage across urban and transport corridors.
Smart Pole Deployment in Siburan
Located in Taman Impiana, Siburan, the smart pole integrates multiple functions into a single infrastructure unit, including 5G-ready telecommunications equipment and street lighting.
Key features include:
- 5G-enabled multi-operator infrastructure supporting co-location for MNOs
- Enhanced mobile coverage for residents and commuters
- Integrated street lighting for improved safety and visibility
- Space-efficient, multi-functional urban infrastructure design
The initiative represents a step forward in optimizing infrastructure usage while improving digital access in growing residential areas.
Built-to-Suit 5G Site in Bintulu
Demanlink’s first B2S telecommunications site in Kampung Jepak, Bintulu is designed to deliver seamless 5G connectivity across surrounding residential and commercial zones.
The site is strategically positioned near:
- Six schools
- Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres
- Key stretches of the Pan Borneo Highway
This placement is expected to improve:
- Digital access for students and educators
