Bengaluru, Oct 07: Vetted, India’s verification-first pet-care technology solutions app has officially launched in Bengaluru with a simple premise: pet parents shouldn’t have to choose between convenience and trust. The platform brings together veterinary consultations, pet pharmacy, retail and grooming services in a single trusted ecosystem, addressing the fragmentation that has long required pet parents to navigate disconnected platforms and uncertain credibility standards.
Available to download on the App Store and Google Play, Vetted brings veterinary consultations, pet pharmacy, retail and grooming services together on a single platform. Partners are already onboarded across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Kochi, including Dr. Paws, Curious Cat Company, Muttley Crew, Woof & Cook, Paws & Us and FurJeevan in Bengaluru; Homiee and Ginger and Let’s Wag in Mumbai; Woofy Doo in Pune; and Zoomys Wellness in Kochi.
The launch comes at a time when India’s pet-care industry is expanding rapidly, but the experience of accessing pet care remains highly fragmented. A pet parent may have a trusted vet, a familiar pharmacy and a preferred groomer, yet finding, contacting and transacting with these businesses still largely happens offline or across disconnected platforms.
Vetted is building the connective layer between them.
Vetted offers up premium pet care and onboards brands and businesses that clear their internal vetting and quality assurance processes. Where their teams personally vet each brand/business.The platform enables pet parents to discover verified businesses across their city, with products and services often delivered within a few hours or sooner. It also features brands from other cities, enabling pet parents to access a wider selection, with intercity orders typically delivered within a couple of days. Transactions can be completed in as little as four to five clicks.
What sets Vetted apart is its approach to the supply side. Rather than building dark stores or owning inventory, the platform works directly with the neighbourhood clinics, pharmacies, groomers and retailers that pet parents already know and trust.
The idea is not to replace these businesses, but to make the ecosystem around them work better.
Vetted gives small businesses the digital infrastructure to manage orders, inventory, sales and invoicing, while improving their discoverability among a wider community of pet parents. For a pharmacy, a neighbourhood clinic or an independent groomer, the platform creates a digital route to new customers without requiring them to give up the relationships and trust they have built over years.
Vetted’s B2B platform helps small pet-care businesses streamline their operations and economize the way they run their business. By bringing ordering, inventory, sales and invoicing onto one platform, Vetted reduces the time and cost involved in managing day-to-day operations, while giving pharmacies, neighbourhood clinics, independent groomers and other partners greater visibility among a wider community of pet parents. Beyond operational efficiencies, the platform offers personalised solutions tailored to each partner’s needs, while creating opportunities for cross-selling, cross-promotions and greater brand visibility across the Vetted network. This enables partners to reach new customers, grow their business and strengthen their presence in the pet-care ecosystem, without having to invest heavily in building and maintaining their own digital infrastructure.
For founder and CEO Prathap Menon, the idea for Vetted came from a personal experience. When he urgently needed medication for his pet in Bengaluru, he found himself moving between disconnected sources in search of a single product. The experience highlighted a larger gap in the way pet care is accessed in India.
“The pet-care industry in India is moving from a largely transactional category to a broader ecosystem spanning healthcare, pharmacy, grooming, retail and hospitality. But much of the industry still operates through fragmented, neighbourhood-led businesses that have built trust over decades, without the digital infrastructure to scale.
Pet parents already rely on their neighbourhood vet, pharmacy and groomer. The challenge is that these trusted businesses often operate in silos and remain invisible to the wider pet-parent community. At Vetted, we’re building the connective layer that brings these businesses together on one verified platform - helping a pharmacy, a local clinic or a trusted groomer become more discoverable without replacing the relationships they’ve built.
Vetted is a technology solutions company streamlining the pet-care ecosystem that already exists, not trying to replace great pet businesses, but rather unify them onto one platform, and help growth and discoverability. The future of pet care isn’t another dark store. It’s the neighbourhood.”
With its launch, Vetted is laying the foundation for a broader pet-care ecosystem that extends beyond everyday retail and veterinary needs. The long-term vision is to create a connected experience across the pet-parent journey, with boarding and a consolidated set of pet services and products planned for the near future and already in the pipeline, while continuing to strengthen the local businesses that form the backbone of pet care.
