Mumbai, Sep 28: QMS Medical Allied Services Limited, an integrated healthcare solutions company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire 100% equity shares of BeamOptics Scientific Private Limited, a Pune-headquartered company that designs and manufactures in-vitro diagnostic devices and analytical instruments for healthcare, dairy quality, food safety, and pharmaceutical screening products. The strategy remains in line with QMS’s pursuit of expanding its product portfolio with a presence in value-added segments.
The acquisition aligns with fortifying the company’s product business, now the primary segment following the demerger of the services business into its wholly-owned subsidiary, Saarathi Healthcare. QMS also combined its Patient Services Program portfolio with Health Care at Home and will merge it under Saarathi, creating a dedicated services portfolio company which will also be listed.
The acquisition of BeamOptics will be finalised subject to mutual fulfilment of terms and conditions & post NCLT approval of the composite scheme of arrangement with HCAH.

Expanding on a series of strategic initiatives undertaken, Mr. Makhija added,

Founded by Aashutosh Sharma and Ritesh Kothari in 2023, BeamOptics is an ISO 13485/2016-certified, IP-led deep-tech company developing and manufacturing diagnostic devices and analytical instruments in India - focused mainly on point-of-care health screening and quality-control analytics for dairy, food, pharma, and public-health programs. Its products combine optical sensing, spectroscopy, Computer Vision, Acoustic Sensing, Multispectral Imaging, and Artificial Intelligence. BeamOptics has developed the FTIR Interferometer and has built its own FTIR spectroscopy platform, from optics and interferometry to spectral analytics, on which it has filed several patents.
In August 2026, QMS also signed an exclusive sole distribution deal in India with HEINE Optotechnik, a Germany-based, globally renowned diagnostic equipment manufacturer.
