Sept. 22 (UDN): President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to undertake a two-day visit to Odisha on October 27 and 28, during which she will participate in a mega eye care programme in Rairangpur of Mayurbhanj district, according to local MP Naba Charan Majhi.

The President is expected to attend the eye screening camp on October 27 before returning to New Delhi the following day.

Mega Eye Camp From October 26

The eye care initiative is scheduled to run from October 26 to 30, offering free eye screening and treatment services to the public.

Around 100 veteran ophthalmologists from Delhi are expected to take part in the programme, providing consultations and other medical services to beneficiaries.

Preparations Underway

The proposed presidential visit has prompted preparations in Mayurbhanj, particularly in Rairangpur, where the event will be held.

The multi-day eye camp is aimed at expanding access to specialised eye care services for residents of the region through free medical support from visiting specialists.
