Gurugram, Aug 19: Kenstar, one of India’s home appliance brands, has wrapped up the second edition of its ‘No Phone Hour’ campaign, bringing together over 3 lakh participants across India. The response nearly doubles the 1.5 lakh participants who joined the initiative last year, highlighting the growing relevance of taking intentional breaks from digital distractions.
The initiative encouraged people to put their phones aside for an hour and spend meaningful time with family and friends through conversations, shared meals, games and other activities. Participants also shared their #NoPhoneHour experiences through stories, videos and audio messages, extending the conversation around digital well-being and meaningful connections.
Sunil Jain, CEO, Kenstar, said:
“The response to No Phone Hour 2.0 has been truly encouraging. We started with a simple thought that while we are constantly connected digitally, we should also create moments to be fully present with the people around us. Seeing over 3 lakh people embrace this idea is a strong reminder that meaningful human connection continues to matter. With participation nearly doubling from last year, we look forward to taking this initiative forward and making each edition bigger and more participative.”
With the growing response, Kenstar plans to build on the initiative in the years ahead, encouraging more individuals, families and communities to consciously disconnect from their screens and reconnect with what matters.
