Deoghar Temple Draws Huge Crowds on Second Shravan Monday

Deoghar, Aug 10: A large number of devotees gathered at the Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar, Jharkhand, on Monday to offer prayers and perform Jalabhishek on the second Monday of Shravan.

Devotees began arriving in the early hours to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and offer holy water as part of the auspicious Shravan rituals. The temple witnessed a deeply devotional atmosphere as pilgrims joined prayer ceremonies and waited for darshan.

The heavy footfall prompted the district administration and temple authorities to put special arrangements in place for crowd management and the smooth movement of devotees.

Security personnel were deployed at key locations, while queues were regulated to prevent congestion and ensure the safe movement of pilgrims. Officials and support staff also assisted devotees at different points around the temple.

The second Monday of Shravan is considered particularly auspicious for Lord Shiva devotees, drawing pilgrims from Jharkhand and neighbouring states to the Baba Baidyanath Temple.

The administration continued to monitor the situation as devotees arrived throughout the day, with priority given to safety, orderly movement and a smooth pilgrimage experience.
