Guwahati, Aug 25: Assam's Dehing Patkai landscape has once again drawn attention to its exceptional biodiversity, with 165 butterfly species recorded in the region, including 37 endangered species.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the ecological importance of the forest-rich region in a social media post on Tuesday, describing Dehing Patkai as an important habitat for rare and threatened butterfly species.
