New Delhi, Oct 08: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today addressed the curtain raiser of the 31st CII Partnership Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, inviting global investors and industry leaders to the main Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 12–13.
Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s growing investment pipeline, CM Naidu said the State has built a pipeline of 714 projects worth ₹22.6 lakh crore since June 2024. Of these, 473 projects worth ₹16.6 lakh crore have been converted with Government Orders issued, while 247 projects worth ₹4.7 lakh crore have been grounded, with the potential to create 7.1 lakh jobs.
The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh has moved from “Ease of Doing Business” to “Speed of Doing Business,” with technology-enabled governance facilitating faster approvals and investment. He highlighted opportunities across data centres and digital infrastructure, the Global Horticulture Hub in Rayalaseema, Drone City in Orvakal, defence and aerospace, Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia, as well as the State’s plans to strengthen its coastline through ports, fishing harbours and connectivity corridors.
CM Naidu also highlighted the integration of technology and Artificial Intelligence into governance through Real-Time Governance and plans to establish a Quantum Valley as part of transforming Amaravati into a global technology hub.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Government for their support to Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister highlighted the Polavaram Irrigation Project and Amaravati. He reiterated his vision of linking the Godavari with the Cauvery, connecting the Godavari, Krishna, Tungabhadra, Penna and Cauvery river systems to help address South India’s water challenges. The Centre has approved a revised cost of ₹36,436.96 crore for Polavaram.
CM Naidu invited global investors and industry leaders to partner with Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the State’s emerging investment opportunities and its approach of speed, scale, stability and sincerity.
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal praised Andhra Pradesh’s global talent and leadership, saying people from the State have made their mark across the world. He particularly highlighted their strengths in numbers, science, technology and mathematics, describing them as “among the finest in the world.”
Union Minister Piyush Goyal also praised CM Chandrababu Naidu’s visionary leadership, reform-oriented approach and futuristic outlook, particularly his emphasis on technology, innovation and digital governance. He said the message of trust promoted by the State and its leadership helps build partnerships and ultimately brings prosperity.
Highlighting India’s changing position in the global investment landscape, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said India has moved from seeking investments around the world to becoming a preferred investment destination globally. He said the CII Partnership Summit provides an important platform to showcase India’s growth story and build bridges with countries and business communities across the world.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal reaffirmed the Union Government’s support for Andhra Pradesh’s growth, particularly in commerce, exports, trade, economic infrastructure and investment promotion.
The 31st CII Partnership Summit 2026, themed “Navigating the New World Order: Trade, Technology, Trust and Thought Leadership,” will be held in Visakhapatnam on November 12–13. The first Regional Conference held in Visakhapatnam on October 7 resulted in 29 MoUs worth ₹37,261.43 crore, with the potential to create 92,247 jobs.
