Thiruvananthapuram October 12, 2026: KIMSHEALTH  Thiruvananthapuram  received  the Advanced Comprehensive Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the American Heart Association (AHA), marking a major milestone in cardiac care in Kerala. With this achievement, KIMSHEALTH  became  the first hospital in South Kerala and the sixth  in India, to receive this prestigious accreditation.

The AHA Comprehensive Chest Pain Center Accreditation recognises hospitals that demonstrate excellence in the evaluation and management of patients presenting with chest pain. The accreditation reflects adherence to stringent standards in clinical care, quick diagnosis, evidence-based treatment protocols, multidisciplinary coordination and continuous quality improvement.

"Chest pain requires timely assessment and  coordinated decision making, especially when it  indicates a heart attack. This accreditation recognises the hospital’s structured approach to ensuring prompt evaluation, and appropriate treatment through a coordinated team-work, involving Emergency Medicine, Cardiology,  Nursing and other clinical services,"said Dr. M I Sahadulla, Group Chairman and Managing Director, KIMSHEALTH.
