Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi Lead the Way, But These Ramayana Characters Have Us Equally Excited

Yash - Raavan

Several glimpses of Yash unfolding absolute menace as Raavan has already created a storm online. There is a unanimous agreement among the audience that the actor brings apt justification to Raavan’s dread and revenge, something that the viewers have trusted him with.

Kunal Kapoor - Indra Dev

While there hasn’t been a lot shown about other characters throughout the epic, this Ramayana also lays strong emphasis on the God of Gods - Indra Dev, brought to life by Kunal Kapoor. The film’s US promo offered a peek into Kapoor’s intensity as Indra Dev, alongside his vaahan  - Airavata. With this, the audience is keen to see Kunal Kapoor blur the lines between mythology and cinema.

Ravi Dubey - Lakshman

Ravi Dubey, known for his range and the ability to go beyond predictability, will be seen stepping into the shoes of one among the prominent trio - Lakshman.  His regal appearance, controlled posture and intensity in the trailer have already grabbed widespread attention among the audience and critics.

Sunny Deol – Hanuman

Sunny Deol’s portrayal of Hanuman in the first part of Ramayana hasn't been confirmed, however, excitement is sky-high to see the actor step into a space he’s never been before. Hanuman stands as one of the key characters in Ramayana and knowing that Sunny Deol will bring life to it has left the audience even more intrigued.

Rakul Preet Singh – Surpanakha

The lady who sparks the entire Ramayana! Rakul Preet Singh plays the significant role of Surpanakha, the dynamic figure with multiple layers as someone who serves as the key catalyst for the war between Ram and Raavan.

Lara Dutta – Kaikeyi

Lara Dutta steps into the shoes of Kaikeyi, the favourite consort of King Dasharatha who demands Lord Ram's 14-year exile. Her glimpses so far have piqued interest among the audience, who are eagerly waiting to see her play the key role.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is scheduled to release in theatres on November 5.
