New Delhi, Oct 15: Smiling Tree collaborated with the National Service Scheme unit of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, as the Nature Partner for its annual flagship event, Aashayein’26. The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to environmental awareness, sustainability and encouraging young people to take an active role in protecting nature.

Through this association, Smiling Tree aims to strengthen environmental consciousness among students and promote the importance of incorporating sustainable practices into everyday life. The partnership also reflects the growing role of educational institutions and youth-led organisations in building awareness about environmental responsibility and community participation.

Speaking about the collaboration, Dr Mukesh Kwatra, Founder of Smiling Tree, said,

“Young people have the power to bring meaningful change to society, and educational institutions provide an important platform to nurture that responsibility. Our association with NSS Kirori Mal College for Aashayein’26 as Nature Partner reflects our commitment to engaging students in environmental awareness and encouraging them to become responsible stewards of nature. We believe that small, consistent actions taken by individuals and communities can collectively contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.”

The collaboration underscores the importance of connecting environmental initiatives with student-led activities and campus engagement. By working with NSS Kirori Mal College, Smiling Tree seeks to encourage the youth to recognise their role in conserving natural resources, reducing environmental impact and supporting sustainable communities.

As environmental challenges continue to demand collective action, partnerships between non-profit organisations and educational institutions can help translate awareness into responsibility and action. The association with Aashayein’26 reinforces Smiling Tree’s continued efforts to engage young people in environmental causes and inspire the next generation to contribute towards a cleaner, greener future.
