Shoolini University Faculty among Most Outstanding Researcher in India’s Chemical Engineering field

India,Oct 06: Shoolini University, one of India’s private universities, has achieved a remarkable research milestone with Professor Pankaj Raizada being recognised as the Most Outstanding Researcher in the Country in Chemical Engineering at the third Faculty Research Awards at the India Research & Impact Summit 2026.

Prof. Raizada was among an elite group of 54 awardees across 27 domains, hailing from leading Indian institutions such as IIT Bombay and Kharagpur, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, and IIM Mumbai, among others. Only academics with at least 10 publications between 2015 to 2025 were considered, and were evaluated based on their publication output, citation count, and h-index.

The award was presented by Prof. GD Yadav, President of the Indian Chemical Society and Vice-President of the Indian National Science Academy, which came with a citation and a cash prize of ₹50,000 at the Careers360 event.

Prof. Raizada’s work largely focuses on developing advanced materials that can be used to remove toxic pollutants from water. She has authored 363 research papers, holds an h-index of 97 on Scopus, has received more than 25,000 citations, and holds 21 patents and nine book chapters. Her research journey has also been recognised through honours including the DST Fast Track Young Scientist Award and the Research Excellence Award at Education Conclave 2026.

Prof. Raizada’s recognition adds to Shoolini University’s research achievements in Chemical Engineering and reflects the university’s focus on research across scientific disciplines.
