Gurugram, Sep 25: wagamama, the globally loved pan-asian restaurant brand known for its ramen-bar roots and distinctive approach to casual dining, is opening its first restaurant in delhi ncr at cyberhub, gurugram, on 25 september.

the opening marks the next chapter in wagamama’s india journey following its debut in mumbai in 2025, bringing its signature open kitchen, communal benches and flavour-packed menu to one of delhi ncr’s most dynamic dining destinations.

wagamama began in bloomsbury, london, in 1992, inspired by the fast-paced ramen bars of japan. built around fresh food cooked to order, an open connection between kitchen and guest, and the philosophy of kaizen — continuous improvement — the brand has since grown to more than 220 restaurants across 18 countries.

its arrival at cyberhub brings that same globally recognised wagamama experience to delhi ncr. the restaurant stays true to the brand’s distinctive design language: an open kitchen at the heart of the space, communal seating that encourages an easy, informal style of dining, and a contemporary setting designed around energy, movement and connection.

“wagamama’s arrival in delhi ncr is an important step in our journey in india,” says vivek raghunath, business head, wagamama india. “the response since our first opening in mumbai has reinforced our belief that there is a growing audience here for what wagamama stands for — great food, distinctive flavours and an experience that feels relaxed, energetic and inclusive. cyberhub was a natural next step for us: it is a destination that brings together people from across delhi ncr, and we are excited to now make wagamama part of that experience.”

at the centre of wagamama is its food — familiar favourites from around the world alongside a menu designed to offer plenty of choice for its diners.

signature dishes including the chicken katsu curry, firecracker chicken and yasai yaki soba sit alongside ramen bowls such as chilli tantanmen and kare burosu. the menu also features wagamama favourites including gyozas, bao and bang bang cauliflower, before finishing with desserts such as the much-loved golden banana katsu.

more than half the menu offers vegetarian or vegan choices, alongside clearly identified jain-friendly options, making the menu easy to explore across different dietary preferences. while staying rooted in the food and philosophy that have made wagamama distinctive around the world, the india menu continues to evolve around the tastes and dining habits of guests here.

the drinks menu follows the same spirit, spanning fresh-pressed juices with no added sugar, asian-inspired cocktails and soft cocktails, wines and spirits — whether guests are stopping by for a quick weekday lunch, meeting friends after work or settling in for a longer evening.

“india is a strategic growth market for wagamama, and our ambition is to build a meaningful, long-term presence here,” says karan kapur, executive director, k hospitality. “we have set ourselves a vision of taking wagamama to 100 restaurants across india over the next decade, and delhi ncr is an important step in that journey. the response to the brand in mumbai has strengthened our confidence in the opportunity, and we see significant potential to scale across key metropolitan markets as well as emerging cities. our focus will be on disciplined expansion — choosing the right locations, building strong restaurant economics and, importantly, protecting the distinctiveness of wagamama as we grow.”

the cyberhub opening builds on wagamama’s growing presence in india and signals the next phase of its expansion. as the brand enters new markets, the focus remains on building each restaurant around the same fundamentals that have shaped wagamama for more than three decades — fresh food cooked to

order, an open and energetic dining experience, and a belief that good food has the power to bring people together.

from bloomsbury to mumbai and now delhi ncr, wagamama’s journey continues — one bowl at a time.
