New Delhi, Oct 13: Sarvesham Mangalam Foundation is advancing its commitment to inclusive employment and social empowerment through its flagship initiative, “Jeevika for Divyangjan – Inclusive Employment & Empowerment Initiative,” aimed at creating meaningful career opportunities for persons with disabilities and individuals living with blood disorders, particularly thalassemia patients.
As part of this initiative, SMF is collaborating with Hemogenomics Private Limited to encourage inclusive recruitment practices and strengthen connections between qualified candidates and prospective employers. The collaboration aims to promote equal employment opportunities and support individuals in achieving financial independence, professional growth, and dignified livelihoods.
Jeevika for Divyangjan has been conceptualised to address the employment challenges faced by persons with disabilities and individuals living with chronic blood disorders. Despite possessing educational qualifications, professional skills, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to the workforce, many candidates continue to encounter barriers when seeking suitable employment. Through this initiative, SMF seeks to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity by encouraging employers to recognise candidates for their abilities, qualifications, and professional potential.
A key focus of the initiative is the inclusion of people living with thalassemia, a lifelong blood disorder that may require regular blood transfusions and ongoing medical care. These healthcare requirements can create additional challenges in accessing and sustaining employment. SMF aims to encourage greater awareness among employers and promote fair consideration of eligible candidates for suitable roles, with appropriate workplace support and reasonable accommodations wherever required.
Through Jeevika for Divyangjan, the Foundation seeks to facilitate engagement between qualified candidates and organisations, encourage corporate participation in inclusive hiring, and promote employment practices that value diversity and equal opportunity. The collaboration with Hemogenomics Private Limited represents a step towards strengthening these efforts and exploring suitable employment opportunities in line with organisational requirements and recruitment processes.
The initiative reflects SMF’s belief that employment is not merely a source of income but also an important pathway to independence, confidence, dignity, and social participation. By promoting access to meaningful work, the Foundation aims to support individuals in pursuing their career aspirations and building a more secure future.
Jeevika for Divyangjan also calls upon corporates, employers, institutions, and other stakeholders to contribute towards building inclusive workplaces where persons with disabilities and individuals living with blood disorders can access opportunities based on their skills, qualifications, and suitability for the role. The initiative seeks to encourage a shift in perspective, recognising talent and potential rather than allowing disability or medical conditions to become barriers to professional growth.
Sarvesham Mangalam Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit organisation established on 3 March 2024. Guided by its vision of “Prosperity for All,” the Foundation works towards disability inclusion, thalassemia support, safe blood awareness, healthcare access, patient advocacy, social protection, and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and underserved communities. Through its programmes and partnerships, SMF strives to promote dignity, equal opportunities, and a more inclusive society.
With Jeevika for Divyangjan, Sarvesham Mangalam Foundation continues to work towards a future in which every individual has the opportunity to contribute, grow professionally, and live with dignity, regardless of disability or medical condition.
