"SEBI has recommended to government to scrap LTCG made by the foreign investors. If this happens Indian markets may become more appealing to foreign investors as it will reduce cost of investment for foreign investor. With Indian markets at reasonable valuation, scraping LTCG for foreign investors can stop the outflow of funds by foreign investor and can bring more foreign investment in India . SEBI also suggested to remove LTCG when an investor shift the investment from one MF SCHEME to another . This will be a welcome moved for retain investors ."
