BusinessK Puspa15 Oct 2026

New Delhi, Oct 15: Logitech today announced that local manufacturing has commenced in India, with production based in Manesar, Haryana. This marks a further diversification of Logitech’s existing manufacturing footprint.

Logitech Strengthens ‘Make in India’ Vision To Deliver Locally Manufactured Products to Indian Customers

The move underlines Logitech’s long-term commitment to India by broadening its in-country capabilities to include localized product manufacturing and assembly in collaboration with local domestic partners. This expands upon Logitech’s existing operational capabilities, spanning channel management, marketing support, and its Chennai-based Global Capability Center. The expansion aligns directly with the Government of India's 'Make in India' vision.

This operational expansion comes at a key moment in India’s digital transformation. With nearly 970 million internet subscriptions and annual PC sales reaching nearly 16 million** in 2025, Logitech is well positioned to be part of the digital journey for Indian customers as they harness the productivity, creativity, ergonomic and wireless benefits of larger screens and modern workspaces.

Under a structured expansion roadmap, local production begins with high-demand devices across our webcam and pointing device categories.

Commenting on the move, Sree Chenincherry, Chief Supply Chain Operations Officer at Logitech, said,

"India is a strategically important market for Logitech. Establishing our first local Indian manufacturing footprint brings us one step closer to our Indian customers. We already have a significant presence here across R&D, channel and marketing support. Local assembly and production allow us to enhance operational agility, reduce turnaround times, build supply chain resilience and react faster to the rapidly evolving needs of businesses and everyday users in India. We look forward to collaborating with local partners as we establish this domestic operational capability."

Delphine Donné, VP and General Manager of Personal Work Solutions at Logitech, added,

"India plays an important dual role for Logitech globally. It is a fast-growing market for personal work solutions and our Global Capability Center in Chennai supports the development of our design-led, software and AI-enabled hardware. Commencing local manufacturing underscores our commitment to the market and our customers here. Aligning our operational footprint with the 'Make in India' vision allows us to bring our global innovation, design excellence and sustainable approach closer to Indian customers than ever before."

Localized production also supports Logitech’s commitment to sustainable operations in India. Manufacturing products closer to where they are sold shortens supply chain distances, reduces freight emissions and optimizes domestic logistics efficiency. Furthermore, localized manufacturing operations contribute to the regional industrial ecosystem through specialized technical roles in plant management, quality engineering, logistics and local vendor integration.
