IFF-NIIT Foundation partnership enables 695 placements, exceeds skilling targets across four states

Tamil Nadu, November 7th, 2026: A skilling partnership between International Flavours and Fragrances India Private Limited (IFF) and NIIT Foundation has facilitated employment for 695 beneficiaries across four states in FY 2025-26, surpassing its placement target by 14%, as the programme expands access to vocational training and employment opportunities for women and youth from underserved communities. Implemented through four Career Development Centres in Salem (Tamil Nadu), Tumakuru (Karnataka), Nagpur (Maharashtra) and Mahabubnagar (Telangana), the initiative exceeded its annual targets for enrolment and course completion as well. A total of 1,892 beneficiaries enrolled against a target of 1,700, while 1,858 completed their courses against a target of 1,592.

The programme had set a placement target of 608. Nagpur accounted for the highest number of placements at 215, followed by Tumakuru (167), Salem (157) and Mahabubnagar (156). The centres provide free training in areas including basic IT, business process outsourcing (BPO), customer relationship management (CRM), digital literacy, financial literacy, retail and inventory management, English communication and personality development. The programme also integrates career counselling, workplace readiness and placement assistance to help participants transition from training to employment.

The initiative has reported improvements in learning outcomes, with an assessment of 392 students showing Basic IT proficiency rising from 24% at baseline to 92% at the end of the programme. Soft skills proficiency increased from 23% to 80%, while domain skills improved from 52% to 86%. "Our partnership with IFF reflects a shared commitment to creating better opportunities for girls and women from underserved communities. By bringing together flexible learning, practical skills training, counselling and career support, the initiative helps women build confidence and prepare for employment," said Sapna Moudgil, CEO, NIIT Foundation. Karthik Palani, CSR Lead, IFF, said the company's CSR efforts through the partnership were aimed at creating opportunities for women to become self-reliant and financially independent, while enabling them to shape a better future for themselves and their communities. The impact of the programme is illustrated by the journey of Rehamath Unnisa, who completed a CRM-BPO course and secured employment with Flipkart. Her transition to employment involved overcoming initial family concerns about relocating for work. The partnership, which began in 2022, has now been renewed, with both organisations looking to continue strengthening access to industry-relevant skills and employment opportunities across the four states.
