HCG Cancer Center celebrates Diwali with its frontline support teams

Bengaluru, November 06th, 2026: HCG Cancer Centre, KR Road, celebrated Diwali with its frontline support teams, including housekeeping, security and maintenance staff, recognising their contribution to the smooth functioning of the hospital and uninterrupted patient care.

As a gesture of appreciation, the hospital organised a special festive celebration for its support staff and their children. The day brought everyone together for games, fun activities, gifts and lunch. Adding a personal touch to the celebrations, employees also received a special surprise in the form of recorded Diwali wishes from their family members, particularly for those who may be unable to travel home for the festival.

The initiative acknowledged the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes, often through festivals and holidays, to ensure that patients and their families continue to receive the care and support they need. By extending the celebrations to their families, HCG aimed to make the occasion meaningful for the employees and recognise the important role they play in the hospital ecosystem.

Ms. Manisha Kumar, VP and Regional COO, HCG Cancer Hospital, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, said, "A hospital is built on the collective efforts of people across every function, and each contribution matters. Creating moments of joy and togetherness for our teams is also our way of building a workplace where everyone feels included and valued. We hope this small celebration brings a sense of belonging and makes the occasion special for our teams and their families."

The celebration reflected the spirit of Diwali through a simple yet meaningful gesture, bringing festive cheer to the people who dedicate themselves to caring for others throughout the year.
